Sydney Olympic Park – Tennis World
Major upgrade of the International Tennis Centre including, conversion to a multi-purpose facility, louvred roof, new grandstands, new back of house facilities. Compressed program to meet ATP tour dates.
Undertaken during the 2019 bushfires, impacting work flows and air quality and requiring workforce surge at short notice.
Overview
GSTEC designed, engineered, installed and delivered a Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operations (EBO) Integrated Building Platform, incorporating:
- Building Management System (BMS).
- Optergy EMS – Energy Management System (Electricity, water and gas metering).
- Stadium overhead louvre management system.
- Weather station.
- Other building services (fire, hydraulic, Renlita doors).
GSTEC undertook the Electrical for Mechanical components of the project, including:
- MSSBs and marshalling panels for roll-in / roll-out HVAC equipment.
- HVAC for back of house and comms rooms.
- Power and control to 72 x roof mounted Airius Onyx Diamond EC fans.
- 47 x power meters and metering network.
Outcome
PJS and GSTEC met the compressed project timeframe with the first tournament held successfully in peak summer conditions, testing the ARUP designed mechanical ventilation system in real-time
GSTEC are the incumbent BMS maintenance contractor at the arena for Tennis Australia.
