Vibe Hotel
GSTEC was engaged by Tempest Solutions Group to deliver a comprehensive mechanical electrical, and BMS upgrade for a major hotel chain located in Sydney’s CBD. The project was undertaken within a fully operational and occupied hotel this required careful planning to ensure uninterrupted guest comfort and central plant reliability.
Overview
The scope of works included the design, manufacture, and installation of a new central plant mechanical services switchboard, along with mechanical electrical and BMS control upgrades that service 198 hotel rooms.
The solution was engineered to improve system reliability, control, and operational efficiency with a seamless integration with existing building services.
The project presented challenges, including restricted access conditions and the need to minimise central plant downtime. GSTEC’s installation and switchboard design teams worked closely with key stakeholders, in which we undertook weeks of detailed onsite planning and coordination to ensure a smooth and efficient changeover.
All new power meters associated with the mechanical services switchboards were fully integrated into the hospital’s Building Management System (BMS), enhancing real-time monitoring, energy management, and long-term asset performance.
Outcome
Through strong collaboration, technical expertise, and close engagement with the client, the upgrade was successfully completed ahead of schedule with minimal disruption to hotel operations. The outcome delivered a reliable and future-ready central plant solution, resulting in a highly satisfied client and hotel operator.
